SESD Curriculum Council

The South Eastern School District CIA Council is comprised of teacher and administrator members devoted to using research based best practices to develop K-12 curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessments.

The CIA Council meets several times during the school year to:

  • discuss and analyze district data
  • set the K-12 curriculum mapping guidelines to ensure alignment to the standards
  • review written curriculum
  • ensure the curriculum is aligned horizontally and vertically
  • investigate highly effective instructional strategies
  • provide input to the district staff development offerings
  • review and recommend assessment instruments
  • recommend learning goals that adequately prepare students to be successful in the 21 st century
