IPM

South Eastern School District uses an Integrated Pest Management(IPM) approach for managing insects, rodents, fungus, bacteria and weeds (collectively "pests"). Our goal is to protect all students and staff from pesticide chemical exposure by using an IPM approach to pest management. Our IPM approach focuses on making the school buildings and grounds an unfavorable habitat for these pests by removing food and water sources and eliminating their hiding and breeding places. When it becomes necessary to use chemicals to manage a pest problem, the District will try to use the least toxic product possible. Notices will be posted in the areas subject to application 72 hours prior to the application and for 2 days following the application. Notification will also be made on the District's website, by email to all staff, through the District's automated notification system, as well as all persons who are registered on our notification list. To register for the IPM notification list, contact Amber Harris at 717-382-4843, ext. 6236 or [email protected]. Please include your email address and phone number.
